The Moore Case
This was undoubtedly the weirdest Illuminati cold case I ever worked.
To this day I'm not sure how Roberta Moore, the boys mother found me to enlist my help in working this investigation with private investigator, Dale Miller. (An alias)
Author Kathryn Jewel wrote a book about the case called Brothers Silenced. Unfortunately, she wrote it as kind of a vendetta against the boys mother, when she and Roberta Moore got into a pissing match with each other. Not that I blame Jewel one bit on that front, having dealt with Roberta Moore for four very lonnnnnnnng years.
It's a great story if you can get past all the grammatical, punctuation, etc. errors in reading it. Jewel never had the book edited.

I worked with the private investigator called "Dale Miller" in the book. Jewel did contact me for an interview but since it was Dale's case I felt I was bound by confidentiality.
I was very surprised to see a couple of true crime videos now appear on this little known case...but they only tell the story from Roberta's standpoint of (in her mind) an "innocent victim". Nothing could be further from the truth. I'll tell you the REAL story of this case!

Background
John Moore was the father of Robert and Ben.
Dale and I never got the chance to speak with John Moore, he refused to speak with us.

John was a self employed logger, which didn't provide more than a marginal living for the family, Roberta claiming they lived on welfare most of the time.
By accounts of people who knew him, John always had a scowl on his face and there were allegations he was physically abusive with
his family. He kept the family isolated and to themselves. If there was anything notable about John it was how brainwashed he was via the Jehovah Witness religion. He hated anyone who wasn't Jehovah's Witness - to the point of once aiming a gun at one of Roberta's sisters who'd left the Jehovah Witnesses. Nor was he above bribing his own children to attend Kingdom Hall - namely Robert and Ben with a motorcycle. At the time I thought Odd, the family's on welfare but he can afford to buy a motorcycle?

​John did force his family to work in the woods with him cutting trees, even very young Robert and Ben. John was told by the county he was not to take the boys into the woods using chainsaws doing such dangerous work.
This didn't sit well with John as reported. He pulled the boys from working in the woods only temporarily, then returned them to working in the woods, chainsaws in hand.
According to Roberta (later verified by her sister) John would force Roberta to help him cut wood immediately after giving birth to their youngest child, Lisa - even
forcing Roberta to bundle up newborn Lisa and take her into the woods in the dead of winter for hours at a time.

From what I gathered, John Moore was anything but a likeable guy.
Roberta Moore was in a word, a piece of work. Batshit crazy but crazy like a fox.
It didn't take long for Dale and I to discover not only was Roberta a pathological liar but she spent the entire four years trying to steer our investigation in the direction she wanted it to go.

Roberta was waging a vendetta. She could've cared less
about her son Robert but Ben was quite obviously her favorite child. Ben was never supposed to die, he was collateral damage and Roberta was hellbent on making both her ex-husband John Moore and the Jehovah Witness church pay for Ben's death. Mind you, she went on this vendetta years after the boys were killed.
What was striking about Roberta was her complete lack of emotion and monotone way of speaking. This was an emotionally detached woman for certain. She also fancied herself a detective (in her own delusional mind) and absolutely loved being in the limelight and the center of attention as long as she was seen as the pitied victim, the poor mother whose sons had been murdered.

She was an extremely manipulative woman - or at least tried to be. At one point she told me the only reason she'd married her next husband (also named John) was because he'd promised to buy her a dishwasher. On another occasion Roberta was at a store similar to Home Depot and an object fell off a shelf, glancing Roberta in the head. She sent me a photo of her injury, which was nothing more than a slight scratch. Roberta then proceeded to sue the store for her "injury". This was typical Modus Operandi for Roberta Moore.

I told Dale that Roberta was something like Munchausen by Proxy but not precisely Munchausen. I got the distinct impression her children were merely pawns in a game to her. I also initially felt Roberta would most definitely be capable of violence.
Ron was the Moore's eldest son. He'd been in and out of jail mostly on drug charges at the time I met him.
I couldn't stand being in his presence. Literally.
I'd discover why when Roberta accidentally sent me an email that was meant for Ron.
This email referred to me and what I'd picked up psychically, Roberta saying to Ron "She has it almost right but not quite!" Roberta then instructed Ron to dispose of evidence related to Robert's and Ben's deaths, that Ron supposedly had stored in his barn. Very shortly after I received that email Ron tore his barn down. Leveled it to the ground. Dale and I realized we likely had one of the two shooters in our sights.

John Jr. was the next eldest son. In the middle of the night on his 18th birthday John snuck out of the house and hightailed it to Florida, never being in contact with his family since.
Smart move on his part.
Robert was 13 years old when he was killed.
Robert and I communicated after his death and for the duration of our investigation so he and I formed a close bond with one another.
He was angry about what had been done to them, more so to Ben as he acted as Ben's protector when the boys were still alive and he took that role very seriously.
I found him to be very forthright in answering my questions.
I almost had to chuckle when in typical teenage fashion he blew a gasket over Roberta going through his school backpack, yelling "THAT WAS MY PERSONAL STUFF!"
So typical teenager. But that was the only time I heard/saw him angry. Robert was pretty mellow, at least with me. I found him to be intelligent and extremely helpful in any way he could. I still often think of him to this day.
Ben Moore (or "Benihana" as he asked me to call him) always appeared with Robert but seldom said anything.
I could tell he was afraid to say anything, especially against Roberta so I never pushed him.
He too was intelligent and a cutie one couldn't help but love. I have a feeling that in life he could be quite the character when he wanted to be and had generally been a pretty cheerful, humorous kid.
Lisa Moore was the youngest child and only daughter of John and Roberta.
I only met Lisa briefly once as she was in school whenever I visited the Moore house.
However, I was alarmed by Lisa in that meeting. She was very sullen and was as emotionally flat as Roberta herself was. She had her father's permanent scowl on her face.
She was the only one of the Moore children to form a relationship with John, only because she went to Kingdom Hall with him. She didn't appear to have any emotional connection to Roberta at all. So I wasn't surprised when it surfaced she'd written in her diary that she wanted to shoot and kill Roberta. That scared me given how dysfunctional the Moore family was and that her brother Ron had participated in killing his own brothers.
The Crime Scene
I apologize I don't have the original crime scene photos, autopsy reports, etc. to show you. When I moved to my new house I decided I wasn't going to move anything unnecessary. It had been years since I'd worked the Moore case or even looked at the files so tossed them out, seeing no further need for them. (Ain't that always the way?)
The Ogema Rails to Trails where the boys bodies were discovered is out in the middle of nowhere and unless you're familiar with it, rather difficult to find.

On either side of this trail are very steep embankments leading to a wooded gully with an equally steep embankment across the gully that leads to a higher trail that runs parallel to the lower trail.
During my several visits to the trail I never encountered another person on it. It was always deserted.
The boys car was found on the lower trail and I made a diagram of the crime scene.
Robert's body was on the left side of the car's hatchback with his head facing the trail entrance. His feet could not be seen as they were under the car. The only way that could have happened and given the driver's seat was pushed all the way back (the boys legs wouldn't have reached the pedals) was if someone quite a bit taller than the boys had backed that car down the trail, hiding Robert's feet under the car in the process. Robert was lying face up. Although he was right handed, Robert had been shot in the left side of the head.
Robert's body was already in a state of rigor mortis, which means Robert had been dead at least 2 hours longer than Ben had.
Ben's body was just a few feet from Robert's with his head facing the hatchback of the car and John Moore's old Remington rifle had been placed between Ben's legs. It would have been impossible for the rifle to land between his legs if he'd actually shot himself with it. The rifle would've fallen to the side of Ben and further away from the body. And then there's the fact that Ben's arms were too short to reach the trigger of the rifle were he trying to shoot himself in the head with it.
Ben still had color in his face and was warm to the touch. He too was lying face up with his eyes and mouth partially open.
I noted on the CSI video that blowflies had begun appearing on Ben's body. Blowflies only take 15 minutes to smell out a dead body and begin congregating at it so Ben had been killed just minutes before EMT's arrived.
Ben had been shot in the right side of the head and it was evident from the blood spatter covering the rear side hatchback window that Ben had been shot in the head at the hatchback of the car. I adjusted the constrast on the screenshot below to make that blood spatter more visible.
There was something I noticed on the boys autopsies report that jived with the crime scene and CSI photos of it. When the boys' bodies arrived for autopsy, the ME noted the waistbands of their pants were significantly lower than the waists on their bodies so that both boys' underwear was showing. This would happen if the bodies had been dragged on the trail to behind the car in order to stage the scene to look like a suicide.
There were bullet casings found at the scene that were .22 longs. The old Remington rifle used .22 short bullets. It was determined two different guns had been used to kill the boys as the rifling on the bullet casings did not match the old Remington rifle nor did the metal fragments found in one of the boy's brain.
Both Dale and I fired that old Remington rifle, then tried to pry the spent casing out of the chamber as that rifle jammed every time it was fired. Using a pliers it took Dale a good 6 minutes to pry it out of the chamber. I was unsuccessful in prying it out of the chamber. There's little chance Robert or Ben could have pried a spent casing out of that rifle chamber - especially using a butter knife found at the scene. I certainly doubt 10 year old Ben could have given the difficulty both Dale and I had getting a spent casing out of the chamber and Ben was the last one shot. Therefore, Ben would've had to have pried the spent casing out of the chamber as Robert was already dead when Ben was shot.
The cuts, scrapes, bruises on the boys legs and hands and dirt under the boys fingernails the ME couldn't explain? Robert showed me what happened. The boys were being pursued by their father and brother Ron, who were both carrying guns. Realizing their intent Robert shouted "RUN BEN!" The boys slid down the steep. heavily wooded embankment on the side of the trail into the wooded gully and then clawed their way up the opposite steep, heavily wooded embankment in an attempt to reach the high trail. Going through the trees and foliage on those steep embankments caused the scratches, cuts and bruising. Clawing their way up the opposite embankment was how they got dirt under their fingernails and Ben's clothes dirty. The men caught Robert but Ben escaped. This accounted for the 2 hours between their deaths, while John and Ron Moore hunted down Ben. Because Ben had witnessed all of this, he was a threat that had to be eliminated even though that wasn't a part of the original plan.
The weather the day the boys died was rainy and cold yet neither of them were wearing shoes, socks or jackets. "Why leave the house that way?" I asked Robert.
Robert explained he had indeed been sodomized and sexually abused by his parents, their friends and at least one Jehovah Witness church elder. In the late early morning hours before the boys were killed, Robert explained this church elder had appeared at their bedroom window to molest Robert. Robert was nearly too old to be of interest to these pedophiles sexually anymore and Robert knew they'd start abusing Ben just as they'd abused him. Furthermore, Robert had witnessed his dad doing a drug deal out of the trunk of his car. (Which explains how John Moore would've had money to buy the boys a motorcycle) Robert was now a threat that needed to be eliminated.
Being Ben's protector, that morning Robert grabbed Ben and the two of them made a run for it to escape. Robert had been up all night trying to protect himself and Ben so he was still dressed in his clothes from the day before. Ben had already dressed for school that day. They made a run for it without stopping to dress for the weather. I'm sure Robert had figured out that at the very least his dad would come to hunt him down and John had physically abused Robert in the past so I'm guessing Robert knew there would be hell to pay at his father's hands, especially for thwarting the advances of a Jehovah Witness elder.
ET Neil Holmes had it precisely right - the scene was staged to look like a suicide.

Then there was John Moore's more than peculiar behavior that morning, hanging around the trail without saying anything to the police or EMT's to alert them that he was even there. When deputies attempted to clear onlookers from the trail, John walked silently away with everyone else. Bizarre behavior to say the least of a father whose sons had just been killed. Then again, criminals often return to the scene of their crime as did both John and Ron.

The audio file at the top of the page brings up some really valid points. If you're a father that finds two of his sons dead, do you walk away without touching anything as John claims he did? If I were that parent, I'd be checking for a pulse, heartbeat, respiration on the boys. Especially if as John initially claimed Ben was still gurgling and showed that sign of still being alive. What father in that case would just walk away, leaving his son to die rather than summoning help?!! And what the hell was the gunshot Roberta claimed to have heard? John finished Ben off if he was still gurgling?

Then again, Roberta was a pathological liar and her story constantly changed on hearing that gunshot. First she only heard one gunshot. Then she changed her story, she'd heard three gunshots. Then she changed it again to having heard two gunshots. She changed it a fourth time to maybe she hadn't heard any gunshots after all. If we're to believe her initial story, she was at her father's house waiting for John's call that the dirty deed was done. In which case she couldn't have heard any gunshots whatsoever.
That her own father, Cy Paul believed John had murdered the boys then walked back home through the woods speaks volumes in my opinion.

Nor does Roberta's behavior that morning fit. As I said, in Roberta's delusional mind she was an ace detective. She would NEVER have not followed the tire tracks or not walked down that trail. She would've taken that trail at a dead run playing detective. Trust me! She would've followed the tire tracks and found the bodies before John did. Why bother to follow the tire tracks out of their yard, all the way to the trail only to stop at the trail entrance and not follow them further, especially in light of seeing the boys car sitting on the trail? That makes no sense whatsoever. If my kids were missing and I spotted that car on the trail I would've crawled on my hands and knees over that gravel if necessary to get to them. Remember, according to Roberta she made this trip to the trail alone before ever going to the trail with her ex-husband. She said she turned around and returned home after seeing their car on the trail!
Our Investigation
If there was one thing Dale and I determined very quickly was that the Price County Sheriff's Dept. and Sheriff Heitkemper were up to their wazoos in their cover up of the Moore murders as a suicide. The coroner was in on it as well. The only honest cop we were dealing with was Mike Roberts and his efforts to handle the investigation were thwarted at every turn by Heitkemper and other higher up's. This is typical in an Illuminati homicide.
That investigation was deliberately botched. John and Roberta were never immediately separated to be questioned before they could get their story straight between them, the crime scene was never properly blocked off, Mike Roberts was prevented from speaking with John and Roberta or testing them for GSR (gunshot residue) until 5 p.m. that night. He was never able to collect their clothes, the Moores having had ample time to shower and change their clothes they'd been wearing that morning. No one ever questioned Ron that I'm aware of or GSR tested him.

Even by that time there were glaring inconsistencies the Sheriff's Dept. most certainly should have questioned. They didn't. Heitkemper and the coroner ruled the deaths a suicide and matter closed.
Four days after their deaths the Moores had the boys cremated. I don't believe for one second Roberta didn't sign the paperwork to cremate the boys as she claimed. At that point she was still completely subservient to John and would do whatever he ordered her to do. Bear in mind that during those four days the boys bodies were being shipped back and forth for autopsy, to Ramsey, to and from the funeral home, etc. The Moores had their sons cremated as fast as they possibly could and I doubt anyone forged Roberta's signature on anything. Including the cremation paperwork.

As stated in the first video two other bodies were found on that same trail and ruled suicides. But I found 7 suspicious deaths in the area in as many years, all of them ruled suicides. As is sometimes the case in small towns, rumors abounded of satanic activity in the area.
In addition, Dale found a drug trafficking ring operating out of the District Attorney's Office. Again, nothing unusual in an Illuminati case, drug trafficking being the major source of the Illuminati's income.
In Brothers Silenced, Kathryn Jewel took a cheap shot at all of the psychics Roberta dragged into her vendetta, blaming the psychics for introducing the "ridiculous" notion that satanism was in any way involved in the case. It was not the psychics that introduced the aspect of satanism. It was Roberta herself.
When she realized Dale and I were very close to the realization Roberta herself had played a significant role in the boys deaths, she began bombarding me with photos of dilapidated shacks and other Ogema wooded areas, telling me they were satanic ritual sites. Had I psychically seen any of those satanic ritual sites? When I kept saying no, Roberta then began sending me photos of a plastic baby doll that was marked up and mutilated, claiming this doll had been used in area satanic rituals. (I've never seen a mutilated marked up plastic baby doll used in any satanic ritual.) Roberta couldn't explain to me just how she was in possession of a doll supposedly used in satanic rituals. No surprise there.

The closer Roberta knew Dale and I were to nailing her participation in the boys deaths, the more derailed and delusional her thinking and actions became.
At one point I opened my email to find one from Roberta asking if I wanted to see a photo of her recently departed dad, Cy Paul. There was an attachment to the email and when I opened it I found myself looking a photo of the DEAD CY PAUL LYING IN HIS OPEN CASKET!

Then Roberta read Greg Meisner's case. Greg had been at the same Ramsey Medical Center Robert and Ben's bodies had been at. Meisner's mother had had her son's body exhumed and the medical examiner at the time found some of his body organs missing and that his body had been stuffed with kitty litter. Yes, the Illuminati run a black market body organs operation. But much like Roberta's very questionable interpretation of Robert's and Ben's "Jehovah Witness" drawings, certainly if this had been done to Greg Meisner it had been done to Robert and Ben as well. This even though there was absolutely no evidence this had been the case and couldn't have happened given the boys had been cremated. There weren't any bodies to be stuffed with kitty litter but that didn't deter Roberta's delusional thinking any. If it had been done to Greg Meisner, it had been done to Robert and Ben too and that was that as far as Roberta was concerned!
Roberta was losing any grip on sanity she might have once had - if any. If there was an absurd tangent for Roberta to go off on, she went off on it no matter how ridiculous and irrational - like the fact that she never signed off on the Sheriff's Dept. getting the boys car out of their impound lot after it had been sitting there for a full decade. I know this was more Roberta BS as she took me to the impound lot so I could examine the car myself. At that time she told me she'd tried to get the car returned to her but the Sheriff's Dept. had refused to release it to her. (I guess she forgot I worked for a Sheriff's Dept. so knew better.)
To claim the Sheriff's Dept. switched the cars with a duplicate of Ben's car was beyond ridiculous! There's no way anyone could have accurately duplicated that wreck of a graffiti spray painted car.

Unfortunately, working cold cases is extremely difficult. Witnesses have forgotten what happened, moved away or died. The topography of the crime scene itself changes over the years. Evidence was either deliberately destroyed, disappeared or lost its value for testing over time. There's not a whole lot to work with much less make a cold case prosecutable in court, especially when a police cover up had been involved.

Dale and I did our best in our investigation but there just wasn't enough evidence, proof or prosecutable material to bring charges against John and Ron Moore. I felt bad for Robert and Ben...but Robert assured me they understood and knew we'd done our very best with what we'd had to work with.
​
I still think of the boys to this day and wonder what their lives would have been like had they lived. They'd likely be married with families of their own now. But I also know their deaths provided them an escape from a life no child should have to live.
​John Moore passed away in 2021.

Ron continued to live in Ogema with his wife, Rose.
​
John Jr. remained in Florida, estranged from his family.
Lisa went on to graduate high school and I hope she got the psychological help she needed to live her life happily.
The corrupt element within the Price County Sheriff's Dept. were removed or quit and reports were the department was cleaned up.

Mike Roberts retired and still resided in Ogema as did EMT Neil Holmes at the time I last spoke with them.

As for Roberta?
When the investigation ended she seemingly disappeared into thin air, removing everything she'd posted on the Internet re: Robert's and Ben's deaths in the process - a whole lot of fingers of accusation pointing in her direction. She was angry with both Dale and I for having figured out her role in Robert's and Ben's deaths.
Her second husband, John divorced her. After buying her the obligatory dishwasher.
Roberta passed away on March 4, 2017.
She was a "devoted mother"? Well I guess if you consider a mother murdering her own children "devoted"...
