I think we spent nearly as much time in Disney Springs as we did in the parks themselves. When the parks closed we'd head for Disney Springs.
CIRQUE DE SOLEIL
Videos credit: Cirque de Soleil
The one absolute DO NOT MISS in Disney Springs is Cirque de Soleil.
We saw their show our first night in Disney Springs and what a performance!
Believe me when I tell you that you've never seen anything like these acrobats!
Experience the magic of a unique collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and Disney with "Drawn to Life." This extraordinary show brings Walt Disney Animation to life in a way never seen before. Perfect for the whole family, it combines live acrobatics, innovative design, dazzling choreography, and new Disney animation, all set to an original score inspired by Disney's timeless music.
Shows last 90 minutes, there is no intermission during the show.
Tickets start at $69 per person. While that might sound steep, believe me the show will be worth every penny!
Tip: Pay with your Disney VISA card and you'll save 20% on your tickets!

There's a huge FREE parking lot directly in front of the Cirque de Soleil building so you shouldn't have any problem parking. You can purchase tickets here.
Sadly, this is the last year (2025) Cirque de Soleil will be performing at WDW after a 20 year run.
CHARACTERS IN FLIGHT AEROPHILE

The Characters In Flight Aerophile simulates a hot air balloon ride, but one that remains tethered to the ground.
You'll ascend up to 400 feet above Disney Springs in a tethered helium-filled balloon. The ride lasts 8 minutes.
Custom-built for Disney by Paris-based company Aérophile S.A., the Aéro30 is filled with 210,000 cubic feet of helium. The balloon’s basket holds 29 people plus one Aérophile-certified pilot. Each flight offers stunning panoramic vistas up to 10 miles away on clear days, so don’t forget those cameras!
Tickets can be purchased at the attraction location on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pricing:
-
$29.99 plus tax for adults (ages 10 and older)
-
$24.99 plus tax for children (ages 3 to 9)
The best time to ride the Aerophile is at night when everything is all lit up.
The Aerophile is located in the West end of Disney Springs.
MARKETPLACE TRAIN
There's plenty for the little ones to do at Disney Springs, like the Marketplace Train.
MARKETPLACE CAROUSEL
Another Marketplace ride the little ones love is the Carousel. Enjoy an old-fashioned carousel ride atop any of 16 handcrafted horses. Choose from steeds that jump or rock, or take a more sedate ride in one of 2 ornate carriages. A spinning teacup adds a touch of Disney whimsy to your delightful jaunt.
Pricing
-
One ride — $5
-
2 rides — $10
-
6 rides — $20
-
One adult may ride for free per child under 42 inches tall

DISNEY SPRINGS DINING
Dining in Disney Springs is much better quality than dining in the Disney parks nor are the prices quite as exorbitant. We ate there most of the time and saved a bundle over eating in the parks.
HOUSE OF BLUES

House of Blues was our favorite restaurant in Disney Springs and we ate there more than once using our restaurant.com coupons for all but free meals. They have a made-from-scratch, Southern-inspired menu and a miix of American and International Dishes.
The offerings are broad, including fabulously savory sounding things like cajun crab and artichoke dip, crispy catfish fingers, shrimp and crawfish etouffee, cajun meatloaf, creole seafood jambalaya, and white chocolate banana bread pudding.
Lunch/Dinner A la carte, $$ – $15 to $34.99 per adult

Beef Brisket Sandwich

BBQ Bacon Burger
House of Blues is one of those places you will definitely not leave hungry. Their portions are enormous.
Service was outstanding and even when there was a crowd we never waited long to be seated at our table.
Best of all, there's usually live entertainment playing either inside or outside the restaurant.
There is a small stage inside the restaurant as well as a large outdoor patio area where live performances are held.
They also have a pretty funky House of Blues Gear Shop that believe it or not, isn't crammed full of Disney merchandise!

TIP: Monday – Friday 11:30am – 4pm: 20% off the non-discounted price of food and nonalcoholic beverages; after 4pm is 10% off the non-discounted price. Saturday and Sunday 10% off lunch or dinner off the non-discounted price.

Upon purchasing your ticket, reserved seating guarantees your spot. Your meal is brought right to your seat for you.

PLANET HOLLYWOOD

Not that the food wasn't good (it was) but we spent more time at Planet Hollywood touring the 3 floors of movie memorabilia than we did eating dinner.

Planet Hollywood also offers a delectable menu of modern American cuisine, inspired by dishes from around the globe.
Planet Hollywood is located at the Town Center of Disney Springs. Reservations are recommended.
Price Range:
RAGLAND ROAD IRISH PUB
Of course, being Irish we had to check out Ragland Road Irish Pub! Although we didn't dine there, we did stop in for the music, Irish dancing and an order of soda bread.

However, the diners I spoke with said the food was pretty good.
The decor is great too in that all of the decor was shipped in from Ireland.
Ragland Road is located at the Landing in Disney Springs.
Reservations are strongly recommended.
Price Range:
$$ ($15 to $34.99 per adult)
All in all, we enjoyed Disney Springs as much as we did the parks themselves. Sometimes even more!
On weekend nights the place is hopping due to the variety of live entertainment happening all over Disney Springs.
There are a myriad of stores in which to shop, some decent restaurants and plenty of activities without any amusement park rides.
