I'll be perfectly honest here. I've never thrown a Super Bowl party. As much as I loved football I swore off the game when players couldn't bother to stand or come out of the locker room for our national anthem.
But a viewer asked I do a Super Bowl party ideas section, so here it is. (I aim to please)
Invitations

Or you could combine those 2 invitations if you wanted to.
I like funky and whimsical to get my guests in the party mood right off the bat, so I'd probably do an invitation something like the one at left from

Or you could do something that looks like an actual football game ticket...

If you wanted to do something simple in a computer graphics program and print it out, you could do something like this...

Staging
If it were my party, I'd do something along these lines...

I don't think you need a whole lot of staging, just enough to set the tone, so maybe do one focal wall. You can scatter smaller props elsewhere if you like but just do a touch here and there. You can also ask your guests to come dressed as their favorite team or team player and let that be part of your staging.

Your activity will be the playoff game itself, of course. But I'd add something. I'd get a black baseball cap for each guest (a.k.a. armchair referee), a referee whistle and penalty flags to throw.
You can also check dollar stores as I've seen plain black baseball caps there. To make an easy DIY referee cap, get some plain white seam binding and hot glue that along the seams on the cap, like a referee's cap. Or you could use white embroidery floss too.
Food/Menu
For this kind of party you could use your food to help carry off your staging too! I'd just set out some themed snacks and let everyone help themselves.
STADIUM SNACK TRAY
My sister holds a Superbowl party every year and one year she did this really clever stadium snack tray. Reuse the cardboard boxes that 12-pack cans come in: Cut each box in half and then make diagonal cuts on each half. To dress up the cut edges, trim paper straws to size and glue them on.

CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRY FOOTBALLS
Of course, if you're a WI Cheesehead too then you already know
what our major food groups are when it comes to football season.
Throw those Sheboygan brats on the grill, crack open a jar of sauerkraut,
chop up some onion, set out ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, relish.
Get the kegger ready and you're good to go!

And if it happens to be 40 degrees below zero out, remember to
wear your warm jacket, not the one you typically snowblow
your roof in.

Tablescapes
There's really no tablescaping necessary for this kind of party, unless you want to tablescape a table to set all of your snacks on.
I'd find a matching disposable tablecloth and dispoable dinnerware set of your favored team to win the Superbowl.

If you'd rather remain neutral as far a picking a winning team goes, then go for something generic, like this football field tablecloth. If you get a good vinyl fitted one, it can also be used for games. For $10, I'd go with the non-disposable fitted one that could serve more than one purpose, but that's just me.

If you're going to use a table centerpiece then don't go all girly/frilly/flowery. Stick to something masculine friendly like the centerpiece at left.

All you need is a trophy-like container, some green Easter basket grass and a football.

Prize idea

At a football party my friends threw they'd made up a Green Bay Packer gift basket that they raffled off.
Every guy in the place was drooling over that gift basket. (My hubby won it!)

Putting it in a wheeled cooler and including a smaller Playmate cooler makes it even more special.
Hubby's basket contained:
-
Playmate cooler containing 6 pack of beer
-
Bottle of Jack Daniels
-
Set of Packer shot glasses
-
Packer car flag
-
Framed photo of that year's team, autographed by the players
-
Packers football
-
Packers T shirt
-
Assorted cheeses and snacks
It's not difficult to make a gift basket.
