I was working in law enforcement when I quite inadvertently stumbled into theme party planning.
I decided to throw a Halloween party for the neighborhood kids. That party took on a life of its own, each year growing larger and more complex.

Before I knew what hit me, I had family and friends asking me to plan theme parties for them. That progressed to complete strangers saying "So and so told me you plan really great parties. Would you plan one for me?"
I retired (from both law enforcement and party planning) a few years back but recently an old friend asked me to come out of retirement to plan a theme birthday party for her son. As we were planning the party she said to me, "Ya know, you planned the best parties ever. You should put up a blog or website on planning theme parties to help we busy moms out!"

Well, I'm still retired but I took her advice and here's that website. Unfortunately, I moved to a new house after retiring and wanting to move as little stuff as possible, I threw out all my old photos of the parties I'd planned. I figured "Don't have any use for these anymore. Why move them?" and in the trash they went. (Isn't it always the way as soon as you think you won't ever need something, you find out you do?)
At any rate, I've used my computer graphics programs to try to recreate what I did as well as used similar online photos to give you viewers a visual.

I'll describe and illustrate what I did in planning the parties I did and give you tutorials, recipes, decoration ideas etc. designed to help you plan your own theme parties.
